Heather Hornoi, BA, Economic Development Officer
Although new to the island, Heather brings with her seven years experience in economic development and over 15 years in tourism management. Named Economic Development Leader of BC for 2010 by the Economic Development Association of BC, Heather believes that strong partnerships, trust and collaboration are key elements to building a sustainable island.
Mary Lou (Von Niessen) Schroeder, BA, Administrative Assistant
Mary Lou has resided on Haida Gwaii since 1994. She brings many years of administrative and book keeping experience to MIEDS. Mary Lou is deeply committed to seeing local food production reintegrated as part of our daily lives.
Jenn Dolen, BSc,Project Coordinator
Jenn has already established herself as a successful business owner in her relatively short time on the islands. She understands the necessity of effective public involvement and coordination that is fundamental to achieve Community Economic Development.
Stephany Pryce, Social Media Coordinator
Stephany is from the Haida Nation originally, and spent 29 years in Victoria BC before returning home to live. Stephany brings with her many skills including Internet Media, Web Programming, Web and Graphics design, Administration and Finance experience. Her firm belief is respecting the environment and the resources it provides.
